What you get

• EC2 setup and hardening — Amazon Linux or Ubuntu instances with SSH key-only access, fail2ban, locked-down firewall rules and tight security groups.
• Network design — VPC with public/private subnets, NAT gateway, routing and Route 53 DNS.
• Storage and delivery — S3 buckets with encryption and lifecycle policies, CloudFront and ACM-managed SSL where needed.
• Access control — IAM roles and policies built on least privilege.
• Resilience — load balancers (ELB/ALB) and auto-scaling for high availability, plus automated backups and a documented recovery path.
• Visibility — CloudWatch alerts, metrics and centralised logging so you find problems before your users do.
• Deployment automation — CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, Docker, Nginx or Apache, depending on your stack.
• Cost review — right-sizing, lifecycle cleanup and removal of idle resources to trim the monthly bill.

How it works

1. You share your requirements, or scoped IAM access to the existing account.
2. I audit the current state and propose a concrete plan of changes.
3. I implement and test each change, working within whatever access restrictions you set.
4. You receive the working infrastructure plus written documentation explaining what was configured and why.

Scope, timeline and revisions

A single hardened EC2 instance typically turns around in a couple of days; a fuller build covering VPC, S3, IAM, monitoring and auto-scaling runs closer to a week, depending on the existing setup. Every engagement includes revisions until the configured scope works as agreed, and I fix any issue that traces back to my configuration at no extra cost.

What this does not include

This is AWS-focused. GCP and Azure are out of scope — let's talk first if that is what you need. AWS usage charges, third-party licences and ongoing managed operations are billed separately from the setup work. Application code changes beyond deployment wiring are a separate conversation.

I hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (foundational) credential and work across EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling and ACM, with Docker, Nginx, Apache, Let's Encrypt and GitHub Actions on top.
