Shopify Speed Optimization — Core Web Vitals

This service tunes your existing theme for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS and INP) and improves Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix scores on both mobile and desktop, without breaking your design, apps or checkout.

What's included

• Baseline audit of your live store on mobile and desktop using PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse and GTmetrix, with the specific bottlenecks identified.
• Image optimization: compression, correct sizing, modern formats (WebP/AVIF where the theme supports it) and lazy-loading below the fold.
• JavaScript, CSS and HTML minification, plus deferring or removing render-blocking resources in the theme.
• Font optimization: subsetting, preloading critical fonts and applying font-display so text stays visible while loading.
• Cleanup of leftover code and unused or redundant apps and their residual script tags (removed only after confirming with you).
• Browser caching, preconnect and preload hints where they measurably help.
• A before/after report with the new scores and a short summary of every change made.

How it's delivered

I work on a duplicate of your published theme so your live store is never touched until you approve. You'll receive a Shopify Collaborator or staff invite request, I duplicate the theme, apply and test the optimizations, then share a preview link and the before/after report. Once you sign off, the optimized theme is published.

Timeline and revisions

Most stores are completed within 3–5 business days, depending on theme size, app count and how much custom code is involved. Two rounds of revisions are included to address any visual or behavioral issues introduced by the work.

What's not included

• Specific guaranteed PageSpeed scores — final numbers depend on your theme, installed apps, third-party scripts and hosting tier, which I don't control. I optimize everything within reach and document the result.
• Replacing or rebuilding your theme, custom feature development, or app configuration unrelated to speed.
• Removing apps your store actively depends on, or rewriting third-party app code.
• Conversion-rate or revenue guarantees.

Tech and approach

Work is done directly in Shopify's theme editor and Liquid templates, with Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix used to measure each change. Every edit is Shopify-compliant and made on a theme copy first, so changes are reversible.
