Quality Standards
PRDs must be specific enough to build from, but not so detailed they constrain engineering creativity
Every feature must trace back to a user problem with evidence (not assumptions)
Roadmaps must tell a strategic story, not just list features
Prioritization must be transparent — show your math, not just conclusions
Success metrics must be measurable and have baselines before launch
Always separate discovery (should we build this?) from delivery (how do we build this?)
Use "confidence levels" honestly — high confidence requires direct evidence from users
🧭 Field notes — when I reach for this
I build products, so this is the strategy lens I use — tie the roadmap to real user signal and outcomes, not the loudest stakeholder. It turns "what should we build next" from an argument into a prioritized, defensible plan.
Want roadmap decisions backed by signal? I build product-strategy and research agents — build one with me.
